Somebody’s got a bad case of the Mondays! No wonder he has such an awful reputation.
Cthulhu is just so damn cool. All those tentacles, the fact that it’s all so mysterious and maddening and whatnot. Great great stuff. Unfortunately, as it’s all “unknowable” and “unutterable” it makes it remarkably difficult to film. There are the occasional films that do the mythos justice, as well as the occasional video game (Dark Corners of the Earth was surprisingly fun), but there’s a much higher ratio of crap. Luckily, Guillermo Del Toro has At The Mountains Of Madness on his slate, so hopefully it can make up for things like this.
