It’s rough being a corporate shill. Though really, since the cartoon was just an commercial for toys in the first place, the movie being a commercial for more expensive toys really isn’t that suprising. And I certainly enjoyed the commercial-riffic cartoons of my youth, so I don’t suspect that I will be particularly put off by the commercial-riffic-ness of the new movie of the cartoon of my youth. You see, I’m a big softy when it comes to battle scenes, and I even enjoyed some (two) of the fight scenes in Van Helsing, so if the battles in Transformers are as good as I hear they are, the rest of the movie could be an ad for herpes medication and I’d still be all over it. Though I hope it’s not.
