Holy shit, chewers.
Recent video games like Fallout 3, Borderlands, and Rage have tried to reproduce that George Miller magic, and they’ve been valiant efforts, but they only provide a semblance of that Mad Max flavor. This, however, looks damned tasty. The filet fuckin’ mignon of post-apocalyptic road movies.
Max himself (looking fantastic) is confirmed to only have sixteen lines of dialogue in the film, which is a really bold choice, but I think Tom Hardy can pull it off. Plus, it looks like there won’t be much room for Max’s dialogue amid all the fiery practical car stunts and zany marauding villains. There’s more we haven’t seen, too: this preview is just an abbreviated version of what was shown yesterday in Hall H.
Mad Max: Fury Road will smash onto US screens on May 15, 2015, and you can consider my ticket pre-ordered. Well done, indeed.
