Just so you know, this is not a joke. That scene of the girl being hung to death by a thin strand of Christmas lights is meant to be frightening. Her death is meant to be tragic. Her friends are meant to be so grief stricken, they turn to something that’s been sold as a toy since the mid-sixties to try to speak with her. And since this is a horror movie made in the 2010s, someone has to watch “haunted footage” that explains their own, current hauntings.
This movie looks so sincere, you almost have to admire it. Almost.
