I don’t like the MPAA. You don’t like the MPAA. Kirby Dick really doesn’t like them. And Seth Rogen? Yeah, he’s a hater, too.
According to a Rogen interview running on MTV, he and Kevin Smith are having the same old ‘violence good / sex bad’ problem with the ratings board that so many millions of filmmakers have encountered before. Because people in Zack and Miri Make a Porno evidently have and talk about sex, problems have cropped with with respect to an ad-friendly R rating. But don’t take my word for it. Listen to Rogen.
It’s a really filthy movie. I hear they are having some problems getting an R rating from an NC-17 rating, which is never good.
A guy f—ing a donkey, they ain’t got no problem with. But a man and a woman having sex they seem to have real issues with, for some weird reason. It’s insane. It’s completely insane.
And best of all:
The MPAA? It’s my mission to sue the MPAA and take them down. I don’t know how to go about doing that. But to me, it seems like it’s something that has to be taken care of.
But don’t just read Rogen’s comments. Head over to MTV where you can see him rant about the MPAA while sporting a buzz cut and law enforcement outfit. It adds a lot of weight to his comments. And that just makes me want the comments boxes to returns; we never got enough weight jokes back in the day.
