Before we get started and you get made at me, no, Tim Hiddleston is not in character as Loki in the bit below. I’m sorry, I was disappointed too. What I was surprised to find was the delightful little sketch below, including Hiddleston dropping some heavy shit on Cookie Monster, who then seems to cry out to an unasnwering God for relief from his addiction.
I know Cookie Monster was morphed into a puppet allegory for restraint and will-power and nutrition some time ago (around 2006, back when those who love to rail against “pc police” strawmen were wringing their hands about bullshit rumors that he’d be renamed “Veggie Monster or some shit), but I did know Cookie Monster’s life had become such an existential dilemma.
