It’s exactly one year until the opening of Watchmen, as Zack Snyder points out on his production blog, and to commemorate the date he’s released five full character portraits. Almost without exception, they look fantastic.
The Comedian, Rorschach, Silk Spectre, Nite Owl and Ozymandias are revealed in all their ‘faithful to Gibbons’ glory. And while I’m not wild about the slightly petulant Ozymandias (even if that expression is appropriate) it’s hard to take too much issue with any of the other four. The Comedian looks perfect and I’m amazed to see Silk Spectre looking only mildly silly instead of completely ridiculous.
