Here’s the sad thing about the cast of Last Vegas. Most of them have basically resigned themselves to appearing in films like this at this stage in their careers. Sure, they’ll appear in various interesting movies but this is easy money and since their audience has aged with them a sort of deliverance. The problem is that Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline, Robert DeNiro, and Morgan Freeman are all above the title talents who have plenty of gas in the tank. Especially Kevin Kline, one of the best and still most underappreciated actors of all time.
Despite the presence of Jon Turtletaub behind the lens, I have/had high hopes for this. These guys are too good.
So there’s the trailer. I was sort of hoping for a little more bite and a little less bucket list. Then again, I’m losing a step too.
