I hate to undercut Devin only hours after he posts an article, but Rob Zombie has issued one’a them MySpace updates (space-age! not everything he does refers to the ’70s) in which he details his next two projects. Not on the list: Conan.
First is the almost finished The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, an animated film that I can’t get up any gumption at all to care about, even if it stars the voice work of Paul Giamatti. Also featured in the flick is the voice and (seemingly) the enhanced animated rack of his wife, Sherri Moon Zombie. If you haven’t already seen the collection of stills like the one that toplines this article, see two more here and here and then a whole arseload here. Note: the second link there is definitely NSFW.
Following El Superbeasto will be a flick called Tyrannosaurus Rex. “I
don’t want to give away any details yet, but I will tell you that it has
nothing to do with dinosaurs,” he says.
Given his closed-mouth tease about the flick, I’m left to wonder if Tyrannosaurus Rex could be a code name for King Conan. Nah…
