This trailer toes a razor’s edge between corny, misguided, and possibly excellent. Having watched it, I’m not sure where this adaptation of William Faulkner’s seminal (and mostly unfucked-with work) falls though.
To me this looks like a decent movie with a strangely cut trailer, but god knows it’s a coin toss. I have a lot of love for Franco, and he’s got an interesting cast surrounding him, so it gets a clean shot from me. How’s it strike you? This is another Cannes debut.
