Have you tried out Phoenix Wright just
yet? If you haven’t, you’re missing out on one of the best games for
the Nintendo DS. I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m fully addicted to
the little lawyer-sim games, and am even working on a review of the
latest one, which I picked up to get the taste of Harvey Birdman (review) out of my mouth.
For those who aren’t aware, the Phoenix Wright
games were simply remakes of Game Boy Advance games that were only
released in Japan. They didn’t really plan on it being such a big hit
over here, and when it did, they soon ported the rest.
The next game in the series, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney,
is the first built specifically for the new system. It’s also the first
game in the series to have a new main character. Poor Phoenix!
In
any case, there’s an online demo that you can try out of the beginning
of this game. This is a great way to get the feel for the series, in
the outside chance that you’re a lawyer yourself and are afraid of
failing a videogame based on your occupation. (ahem).
Enjoy-
