No, it’s not funny, but it is great. I love this image, which captures a certain simple and diabolical essence, at least of the original Funny Games, and hopefully of the remake as well. I’ve actually been wondering if this is even a fully legit image because it’s far more elegant than we’re used to seeing even from Warner Independent, but it came originally from the oddly ahead of the curve (image-wise) site Filmz.ru so it’s probably on the money.
Speaking of, head over there to catch the poster for one of my Worst of 2007, Frontiere(s). It’s not worth posting a unique story for, but I’m cackling over how cheaply the image cops Night of the Living Dead, Haute Tension and I Am Legend into a single forgettable ad image.
