Perusing the Battlefield 4 site, I noticed that, for some reason, there’s a video with Rihanna. I don’t quite know why. If she’s in this game, I hope the developers are able to capture her eternally-stoned expression. I love my women to look like they’re completely out of it all the time. Such a turn-on.
Anyways, yeah, let’s skip past that one and go right for the jugular. There’s a 17-minute video called Fishing in Baku, which sounds like a swipe at Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, a movie I wanted to see but probably never will out of pure laziness. Anyways, take a look at the trailer, I’m gonna’ go smoke an acid blondie and wait for you to finish. Maybe finish reading the latest Harper’s.
I’m in the beta for this game, so I’ll let you all know how it goes, but yeah, it looks like DICE and EA are shying away from the deathly serious nonsense that was Battlefield 3 and going for something a little more in tune with the beloved Bad Company series. I, for one, welcome a return of soldiers with personality. I’m something of a Battlefield veteran, trading my Call of Duty stripes for EA’s far more interesting franchise a few years back, however; after being slightly disappointed with Battlefield 3’s narrative, I was skeptical about 4. I’m a firm believer in the power of the Frostbite engine, so, anything made by DICE that uses it automatically has my interest.
Hopefully, the rest of the game proves to be as interesting and tense as that 17-minute clip.
