If you live in Chicago, Austin, Nashville, San Francisco or New York, there’s a chance to get up close and personal with John C Reilly, who’ll be appearing live as Dewey Cox, backed by The Hard Walkers. Following promo screenings of the film Reilly and the band will bloast out a live set of Cox material culled from the film and soundtrack.
Tickets are free and available through the film’s website (mourn ‘sold out’ shows here) but will probably start to go pretty quickly as the little tour is widely publicized. The upcoming gig at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is already sold out (and you didn’t want to legitimize that shitty dive, anyway) as is one of the tour’s last dates in LA. If Reilly doesn’t throw sausages at the audience, yell cheat.
Schedule below. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story opens on December 21.
