Instead of just bumping the one article for the CHUD Podcast,
I’m going to give each installment their own so that we can build this
thing up a little better and keep it fresh. Of course fresh isn’t
exactly on the menu with these shows due to the meandering craziness of
them, but you get my drift.
#25 – The Egg of the Lumberjack
The golden rule for horror films is that they come in right around 90 minutes long. It’s a magical time, long enough to get the point across and short enough not to sap your soul with too much extraneous trash. That said, most horror films, whether they be 90 minutes, 80 minutes, or 120 minutes, tend to suck a baby boy’s boneyard so it’s kind of a useless rule.
The new Podcast is 92 minutes long. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Stephen Murphy returns to the fold again, joining Justin Waddell, recurring guest Will Mason, and myself for a slightly rousing discussion on topics ranging from No Country for Old Men, Beowulf, an afflicted animal, to the living arrangement at the house Will and Steve share.
It’s a one-dimensional and sort of slight episode but it’s long and presented in 4-way Fuckaround, so maybe it’ll tide you over. If not, there’s plenty of really bad podcasts out there for you to ingest like a Chick tract.
