The trailer for Valkyrie, the Tom Cruise in a Nazi uniform and eyepatch movie, has debuted at Yahoo! movies. It’s one of those trailers that gives the whole movie away, but I guess there’s no harm in that, since anybody with a brain knows the plan to kill Hitler failed.
There are three things I took from the trailer: one is that it’s distracting when everybody else in Nazi Germany has an English accent and Tom Cruise speaks American. Two is that Bryan Singer is fond of the Superman spit curl. And three is that the dramatic thunderclap punctuating a line of dialogue isn’t dead, at least not in trailers*.
