The thing I always loved about the Alien mythology — even if it ran counter to H.R. Giger’s terminally creepy design premise — was that aliens would take on attributes of any host. So you’ve got the dog alien from Fincher’s flick, and the backstory that aliens not bred from John Hurt are actually fantastically cute. I’m still dying to see an elephant alien — oh, what could have been, once upon a time — but for now, this is what we’re saddled with. Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem will have…an alien with dreadlocks. I’m reserving about three brain cells worth of hope for this one, though I’ll be happy to pen an ecstatic review if it’s actually entertaining.
Head over to that bastion of horror and sci-fi news, USA Today, to see a few more pics. If debuting these images in that venue doesn’t tell you all you need to know, I don’t know what would.
