Today Lionsgate released the motion poster for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which will slink into theatres November, 22nd 2013. That seems like lifetime for a sequel to a successful book adaptation these days.
I got some enjoyment out of the first film, though it felt flat in stretches. This sequel sees Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) subbing in for director Gary Ross, who left due to the dreaded “scheduling conflicts.” I guess we’re supposed to gather from this image that the flaming mocking jay, once confined, is now taking flight.
