Yes, Billy Bob Thornton is Mr. Woodcock.
You’ve probably seen the poster and trailer for Mr. Woodcock by now, but if you haven’t, it’s about a guy (played by Seann William Scott) who was tortured by a horrible gym teacher (Billy Bob) when he was a fat kid. Now he’s all growns up and self-assured, and it’s just at the moment his whole life is coming together that the titular gym teacher enters his life… by hooking up with his mom (Susan Sarandon).
That’s nightmare stuff right there, for more reasons than one.
In any case, we’ve got a screening for you lucky bastards in the NYC area. It will be held next Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00 pm at a Manhattan theater.
