“FILM + photography = FILMography.”

That’s how writer Christopher Moloney describes his FILMography tumblr, though another fitting fill-in for the “…ography” could be GEography, as Moloney’s blog is all about layering shots from films over their real-world locations.  The films come from nearly every era – from the 40s all the way up to this year’s The Dark Knight Rises.  The above image is one of my personal favorites, as it’s a good example of how much attention Moloney pays to things like perspective and camera angle.  Not every image (or film represneted) is necessarily top-shelf, but the enthusiasm Moloney has for what he’s doing is palpable and if nothing else it’s a fun little way to spend a little bit of time on a breezy Saturday afternoon.
