I wish I had been in the meeting when the guy in Warner Bros’ art department was told he had to enhance the bust of a 16 year old girl for the poster for the IMAX version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Perhaps he was excited, realizing that years of a secret hobby would finally be useful professionally. Or maybe he was creeped out more than a little bit. I wonder if he brought to his boss’ attention the fact that Emma Watson was a full cup size smaller in the regular poster for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (and her hair was less messy). They probably told him everything was bigger in IMAX. And that this was a 3D movie anyway.
Poster Wire put their breast men on the case and they found the boob size discrepancy. Now all the Harry Potter fanatics (the ones who are even creepier than me) will have to decide if they want to hang the regular poster on their wall or the more enhanced version. What a dilemma.
There’s certainly a moral here about Hollywood and the female body image. I’m just too amused to actually think about it. Click here to see the two posters side by side.
