This new cycle of Bond films has prided itself on a more serious, real-world approach to 007’s adventures. Slowly but steadily, Daniel Craig’s James Bond universe is resembling the one we’re accustomed to. So while I’m all for seeing Quartermaster (a role made great by the late Desmond Llewelyn) return in Skyfall, it marks a continuing trend to get our new Bond back to status quo.
Nonetheless, everyone’s favorite gadget-slinger makes his return in Skyfall – where he’ll be represented by a very svelte-looking Ben Whishaw. Q was always an easy way to inject humor in the earlier films, so it’ll be interesting to see if Sam Mendes new film follows suit. What kind of Q would you like to see in Skyfall?
