Post Christopher Moore - Author Interview

Woooo!!!!!!

Christopher Moore, author of Blood Sucking Fiends, Practical Demonkeeping, Coyote Blue and Island of the Sequined Love Nun has agreed to give us an interview for our story board.

Now, the rules are very, very, very, simple:

What have you always dreamed of asking him? This goes double for his being a successful author. Do you know who he is? If not, read the bloody books!

Please post all the questions you would like to ask him here, on the board. I will be collecting them, collating them, and within a week or two will have a full scale Interview with the Author for your insight, pleasure, and general information.

Hopefully, this will become a regular feature of the ChudStories board (interviews with good authors, that is). Meanwhile, have fun, and get those questions cracking!

Please note: Christopher Moore will only answer the questions he wants to answer. You can ask anything you like, but he will edit as he sees fit. Thanks.

Ok. I posted this in three places to make sure to get a good response for the interview, and amazingly enough, no one on the story section seems to want to ask him anything. I thought this would be THE place to find responses. Weird.

Ask him how much research was involved in getting the setting for 'Lamb' to be somewhat true-to-history.

Who are HIS major influences in writing?

Almost all of his books have a quote from mystery author Carl Hiasen (sp?), have they ever considered colaborating on something? DAMN would that be one funny book...

What has the reaction been to 'Lamb' so far? Has he gotten any ineresting hate mail from religous types?

That's all I have for now...I was supposed to interview him a while ago but it never worked out, good luck to you Hastur!

If you ever have a chance to meet Chris, go for it. The man is very charming, albiet in a self-depreciating way, and has tons of stories.

Here's one, Hastur: Ask him about some of the more bizarre people who have bought the film rights to his work (John Woo on Bloodsucking Fiends? DISNEY?!?!), and who currently owns the rights to any of his books, and if they're doing anything besides sitting on them.

Since the RR Lack-of-customer-service kind of put me behind, I'm leaving the question part of this open until 07/03/2002.

All questions welcome!

I've added a post to the Chud Main Board, so that if anyone has a last minute question to ask Mr. Moore, they can.

<a href="http://chud.nexcess.net/board/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007517" target="_blank">http://chud.nexcess.net/board/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007517</a>

I'm sending these and anything else I gather tonight, so get your questions in.
