Default E3 2009

It begins!

The Microsoft press conference kicks things off at 10:30 PST, shall we say live blog and gather in chat?

I'm quite looking forward to Fight Night Round 4, since the last ones have been fantastic. Also, Soul Calibur on the PSP? Odd, but that's actually a promising sounding idea.

I don't know if chat works at my work. Shall have to try it.

It's times like E3 that make me glad I have an evening job. I sleep late, roll in for the afternoon meeting, then hop on the Internet to see what all the hubbub is. Hopefully by then, the hyperbolic glee for every goddamn release and news tidbit will have died down a bit and the real discussion can take place: how all the new JRPGs just make you even more of a pedophile.

Hopefully some of those companies has a few tricks up their sleeves. Its seems like the majority of the games on that list we already know a ton about. Although no matter what last years E3 is going to be hard to top.

Somehow last year i managed to have the day off. Got to watch everything live on G4. Now ill be lucky if i get a chance to check the computer until sometime after 6.

Microsoft's "super-secret announcement" should be interesting.

They don't make the big announcements till the actual event!

For example, people are already buzzing that Crysis 2 will be announced today at the EA conference.

Something to challenge Wii's functionality. Remote sensing, without using a remote. Supposedly will use a camera to register hand movements.

Follow along with the liveblog- http://chud.com/articles/articles/19...LOG/Page1.html

Also, uploading trailers for Just Cause 2 and Lego Rock Band to Youtube now- they'll be up in a bit. Expect me to pack that channel full of whatever I can get (gametrailers has a lot of exclusives!) at the best quality I can get.

I'd say it's a major part of them making Live the "ultimate social gaming experience".

It's just boring. Who would use it over their PC?

The upgrades to the video service (Full 1080p! No delays!) and Netlix = I probably cancel my cable, no need to buy a Blu-Ray player. Looks pretty great.

Facebook - could not care any less.
Twitter - aw, man, I might actually use that, at least to view tweets. Shit.

I was really, really hoping for some US live-TV solution after the Sky thing for Europe. I would have NO hesitation at dropping Cable then.

Only three things I care about that might possibly come out during this E3 are HL2: Episode 3, media for whatever this new Fallout 3-New Vegas game is, and a new Elder Scrolls game. Don't have much hope on the latter, but I reinstalled Oblivion on the new box after not touching it for a long time and really got hooked again... and I didn't even like Oblivion 1/10th as much as Morrowind.
