The Ostagar DLC sounds worthless.

On my second playthrough, I've turned down the difficulty a couple times. Mainly it's because I'm in it more out of curiosity about the story branches. Also, it appears that once you beat the game, the difficulty is raised automatically. I've noticed that since winning, Friendly Fire is now ON regardless of what difficulty setting I pick. That really screws up my genius strategy of mages nuking the battlefield into oblivion! Quote:

On the DLC, it depends how many quests the new land will have. I thought this is basicly how they would do it, add a new town/dungeon with about 10 quests for you to solve most being of the fetch quest variety but one being a major quest. If it trully is just find out Callin wasn't really as idiotic as you first thought he was and the armor that Callin was wearing (because I love wearing armor from someone who was killed using it) then I agree. I want to know more though.
Oh and Farsight can you invisotext me the endings. I wondering if I can do them all by just reloading my past saves. I did notice the epiloge thing, I laughed when I found out that me not killing a dragon in one area meant that a major discovery was made very useless. Last edited by DerekT; Today at 01:16 AM. |

Once you've played through the ending, you should be able to tell what the four endings are...
1) You die killing the dragon 2) Alistair dies killing the dragon 3) Loghain dies killing the dragon 4) Morrigan's deal means no one dies killing the dragon

I'll probably by the Ostagar DLC, although I stayed away from Warden's Keep, since I think day one DLC is kind of pushing it. But I got so much out of Dragon Age that I see this as me tipping the developers for doing a great job.

Basically there's a bunch of "shady" quests you can do in Denerim. Though oddly it seems like only the Antivian Crow quests provoke any reaction from your party members, from what I've seen. Leliana and Wynne didn't even make a peep when I was dumping bodies for one of the Bartender quests. Last edited by Jmacq1; Today at 08:42 AM. |

I am partway through the Orzimmar quest right now, and I am loving how devious the dwarves are. It was also nice to see references to the dwarven origin stories. Even though I was playing another character, I had already played all the origins, so I already knew about the in-fighting between the brothers in the royal family. It made it much easier to pick which of the two dwarves fighting to become king would get my backing. Later tonight I'll be heading off into the Deep Roads to kick some darkspawn ass.

The Deep Roads is a fun area, but there should have been a breather (and at least a vendor) after the Broodmother. Be prepared when you go down there.

Shale's total questline leading up to Cadish Thaig (and the resulting camp dialogue) is my favorite part of this game so far.

Thanks for the info Farshight.
I was just wondering if any of the endings involved the idea of you becoming king but if it doesn't then I can just move on then. |
