So has anyone grabbed Lego Rock Band? I'm pretty sad to see that they're charging 10 bucks to download the songs to your hard drive, and that it's a one time use code.

Track list really is something else, though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Rock_Band#Soundtrack

Doh, and now I see that a few of you have talked about it. I'm kind of excited how the Lego stuff is implemented in the game, though- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ct3DIE-m7-c

The game looks great, the avatars are very fun. The set-list is boring but I hope they'll eventually be available on their own because Fire by Jimi Hendrix is a blast.

Are the tracks in Lego Rock Band heavily edited or just naturally not contain any potentially 'objectionable' language. I know Band Hero had a number of songs edited to crap for the rating.

I don't think the songs are edited, right from the start the songs are chosen to be kid friendly.

I might do the Old Navy "Buy Lego Rock Band for $20, get a free t-shirt" deal on Black Friday... I'll be up at 3AM anyway.

(and I know that's not the actual sale, but it may as well be for me!)

I'd probably have wanted to keep lego rock band over RB2 had there not been the shitty content filter. Shame it can't be turned off. I'd use this as my primary rock band game cause I have a 5 year old, and the Super Easy mode makes it a blast to play together.

Hopefully all these new options will be available in RB3.

(All tracks are original master recordings)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “AFI Pack 01” as well as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks on Wii. Tracks marked with a “+” are also available in the family-friendly LEGO Rock Band Music Store.

Man, forget what I said about a good setlist for Lego Rock Band. There are some utterly fantastic songs to find here (Bowie, Ghostbusters, etc.) but you have to play through dozens of emo songs to find them. Good god. And Harmonix STILL hasn't learned that no one wants to have to play the same dozen songs over and over again to unlock the rest.

Although all the songs are unlocked from the get-go in quick play.
