I am incapable of drinking without feeling like I want to die the next day. I don't know what it is, but if I drink, from the minute I wake up the next morning till I go to sleep the next night, I feel like I'm constantly on the verge of puking. I'm weak, shaky and have no appetite. It's awful. Why someone would want to turn that experience into a feature film is beyond me
Oh, wait: HANGOVER world wide BO $458,915,982 Nevermind. Lol With that said though, the idea of just doing a gender switch and making the same film seems like typical Hollywood thinking. I doubt lightning can strike twice with this concept

How can you be at the stage in a relationship where you're throwing around words like "boyfriend" or "girlfriend," and NOT realize/communicate that someone is going to fucking Europe?!
Christ, even if you just fucked somebody, if the topic came up you'd remember them telling you they were going to Europe. Such a dumb, unfunny and obviously fictional situation.

Josh and Tiffany have been together since they were kids. ENTER Beth, a sexy blonde going to college with Josh. One night, Josh and Beth hook up and make a videotape the same day that Josh plans to mail a video to Tiffany of him talking about college life. The wrong tape gets sent, forcing Josh, along with a few pals, to go to Austin, where Tiffany is, and stop her from seeing the tape.

And it was all handled in under 30 minutes with one Seinfeld episode. Less when you factor in whatever the B thread was that ep. ETA: So does Larry David get a cut?

Whoever put that video together really loves the Snatch soundtrack.
Guy Ritchie should direct this if Holmes flops. |

The setup makes one skeptical, but the weird mood swings on display in that barrage of emails is 100% accurate.

Reminds me of these mp3 files I listened to about 5 years back. Some crazy girl leaving hours and hours of rambling crazy voice messages on a dude's machine during her road trip. She'd go from sedate philosophical to screaming her head off in the matter of moments. I believe they had a one night stand or had just met. Guess he gave his number to the wrong girl. Or right girl, depending how you look at it.

I, too, thought this concept seemed like it was ripping off Road Trip. And that video scares me to all hell. What a nut job. I guess some girls do that, but I can't believe she fucked this guy's good friend (or that the "friend" would go along with it). But to then to talk about how they are soul mates a day later kinda made me laugh.

Casting will be everything for this film. It's not like The Hangover was a stunningly original concept, either. What made it work were the actors' charisma and chemistry.
Get, say, Anna Faris, Elizabeth Banks or Jenna Fischer, and I might be on board.

Elizabeth Banks is something of a hometown hero, 'round these parts.

This is not going to be an A-List movie, nor should it. But I'm kinda offended by your age standards. There are quite a few actresses who hit their stride post-30's.

Not to me. She was interviewed by one of the local magazines in the area, The Improper Bostonian, and made some comments that made her come off like a snob. She is a good actress, but I'm not losing any sleep if she doesn't hit the A list.

If that's the case though, at least I still have Kurt Russell, born in Springfield Mass, about an hour and a half from my home town! EDITED TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS: She has come back to PHS and talked to the kids and stuff, so she seems pretty down to earth from what I've heard anecdotally

Unfortunately, the Bostonian doesn't have a collection of past articles or much of anything online.
http://www.improper.com/ I just remember her being interviewed and she made a joke about the people of Revere, MA that I felt wasn't classy. I realize the city isn't the crown jewel of Massachusetts, but the comment came off as very snobby to me. As for this movie in question, Road Trip and Overnight Delivery have already used this premise. Changing genders isn't going to make the idea any better. |

Well Pittsfield, her hometown, is a city that's fallen on hard times, so I find it hard to believe she'd be dissing Revere because she thinks Pittsfield is so much better. With that said, without Paul Revere there'd be no America, so she probably should have chosen her words more carefully.
