Silence... Gordon steps to Wayne. Their eyes meet. "All this time," whispers Gordon. "All this time... The Bat." "The Bat," Wayne cautiously responds. "And the man." |

That gets a NSFW, but the MOD articles which has "Fuck Kids Week" in big letters gets nothing? Not the best story headline to have open at work either, if they only read the headline from a distance they might not be thinking its a movie website Im looking at... it's just a thought, but I'm avoiding that column at work too just to be on the safe side

The chick with pasties picture is questionable. I appreciate the nsfw warning.

Also, are we really going to have people bitching about and overanalyzing the application of the NSFW tag to various threads again? zak chase, show yourself!

Doesn't matter, as it won't be me pushing those boundaries anymore. I learned my lesson. I can play by the rules, I swear. Isn't this the movie that Kristen Bell also signed up for? Chunky, not so much. Veronica Mars in pasties? Yes, please. |

I've never seen a single episode of this show, but just based on a Google Image search of that name, I'll have three.

The best part is they look like they're steam pressure valves.

It's a little bit of synchronicity that I was read a chapter last night in Tales of Times Square where old timers lamented how 80s burlesque was nothing like how it was back in the days of Gypsy Rose.
They were doing open call casting on Craigslist for this film for some of the male characters. It looked like it wanted to stand out from skinemax fodder. No idea if it will. |

Pretty awesome book. They even recapped some of the stories in Legs McNeil's "The Other Hollywood".

If none of you had the good fortune to ever make it to the Harmony just below Canal St. before Manhattan turned into one long Disney mall, I genuinely feel sorry for you.
What a place. Just a hop, skip and grind down from a great little titty bar LAW & ORDER tended to use quite frequently, The Harmony was the gasping corpse of the old Burlesque in New York. By the time I discovered the joint (courtesy of Al Goldstein's Screw!) it was well on it's way to glue factory. Despite having become an excitingly sleazy lapdance joint, there was this sense about it. The same sense one gets walking the hills around Gettysburg. History was made here. Sad to see this vestige of New York life vanish into the ether to make way for the new "Family-friendly" culture. Word has it that burlesque is still lurking about in New Amsterdam, but I fear it's all just rumor. Someone keeps insisting that The Blue Angel, which when I knew it was at the excellent sounding address of 55 1/2 Walker Street, made it in to the 2000s. Guess, I should look into it.
