In fairness, Devin, while Deep Impact and Armageddon may both be asteroid stories, they're end up going in different directions. For starters, Deep Impact is actually about a comet.

To me Terminator is more of a convoluted time travel story that happens to feature a "robot uprising" that frustratedly, you never see.

I was making a joke when I suggested a main difference was the type of celestial body that menaced the earth in each film. They are however pretty different movies that focus on different aspects of that kind of crisis.
