Default Sir Christopher Lee has been knighted.

Fuck it, this doesnt deserve to go to the gossip or misc.culture forums.

Arise, Sir Dracula...

After "250 films over the course of a career that has so far spanned 61 years.", id say its about time.

I thought he'd already been knighted. Weird. But congratulations to the man!

Me too.

I saw part of the thread title and feared he had died while I was away from the boards (I moved) this past weekend. Thank goodness.

Yea, the first thing I saw was "Sir Christopher Lee has been..." since the rest of the title got cut off.

I thought the rest of it might be, "admitted to emergency room," or something like that.

Just thought about it, but the thread title makes it sound like he got knighted for the second time. Hehehe.

Sorry for the scare, guys....but come on, we all know Death will come in person to take Cristhoper Lee; and ask for acting lessons.

There is no way that's not going to be a strike.

The thing is that Lee isn't only an entertainer, like so many of the famous knighted, but he was apparently pretty hardcore during the war. Seems like this knighting is way behind schedual.

Long overdue, and couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (I got to meet Sir Chris many moons ago at a horror convention when he was promoting Gremlins 2 - extremely nice man and very approachable and affable).

Read his autobiography if you get the chance. It gets a little dry near the end but the man has had one absolutely insane life.

When the LHC rips open the dimensional fabric and The Mist happens for real, I really want to see Christopher Lee take up a horse and a suit of armor and ride out to battle. That would be badass.

You hear horror stories about lots of people when you work in ADR. I've never heard a bad word about Christopher Lee. Consumate pro and hella nice guy (he'll apparently sign just about anything).
