Leathery man-boobs, Seagal looking like a brown Humpty Dumpty. This movie looks miserable to me and I don't know why. It just gives me this deeply negative gut reaction. I really hope the trailer can switch my attitude.

So far, my favorite Danny Trejo roles are his iconic replacement killer in The Replacement Killers (getting killed on screen by CYF is a real honor) and his heart rending role as a shoulder for Maggie Gyllenhaal to cry on in Sherry Baby.
The idea of him playing a machete is intriguing, though I did not watch Grind House so I missed the trailer.

Sure, there's lots of 'cool' stuff in that movie. But iconic? Ehhhhh... even when I was in high school and was fully prepared to love the movie, I found it pretty forgettable and a waste of CYF's talents.

If he's not going to make a film that incorporates, as well as fills in the gaps of, the trailer... THEN WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT?! (edit: just saw the comment above that claims Rodriguez is incorporating the trailer footage. Even still...) Sweet Christ, I don't think many people honestly wanted to see that anyway, and that would've been so much more interesting than just taking the basic concept and creating a "different" film around it. Enough with the whole "Grindhouse" thing already. It was an awesome experiment that, sadly, SO many missed out on seeing the proper way (i.e. in a crowded, late night theater). And now most of the public just says, "yeah, wasn't that good." Well, maybe you would've enjoyed it in the right environment, you cam-downloading asshole. Just give me damned "original" Grindhouse Blu Ray/DVD release, and let's call it a day with the whole fad, eh?
