Normally I wouldn't complain about something like this, since i realize how crucial the advertisers are to this site, but that ad is particularly annoying. For what its worth, I've made Flash-based web ads before so this is my professional opinion. haha.
It loops constantly, and even once you disable the sound, it only works for a few seconds. So after a few times of scrolling all the way down to shut it off, it became obvious I couldn't read a long thread in peace.
I could turn the sound down on my computer, but then I can't listen to anything else.
The constant noise has actually driven me away from CHUD out of frustration.
