The WoW installer keeps failing on me. Sometimes after 1 disc or 2 or whatever. So I keep starting over from the beginning. The WoW support site doesnt seem too helpful. Any Ideas? Thanks!

you wouldn't be a subscriber of pcgamer would you...they had the dvd edition of WoW this year - you could install the game from there. I wonder if they have that cool ftp download option like City of Heroes.

You may have faulty discs. I'd call Blizzard's tech support. I know that the DVD install for mine tends to blink out (crap DVD drive, though), so I have to resort to CD install if I need to reinstall the game (which happens far too often for my taste, but it's a small price to pay).

When you say that it "fails" do you get an error message, or does the install just hang? For instance, if you get a "CRC" error, then you most likely have bad discs.

Things I would try, that you may have already done:

1. Delete anything that the discs already installed on your computer.
2. Check the website of your DVD/CD drive manufacturer for a firmware update.
3. Make sure that DMA transfers is set to "on" for your DVD/CD drive. You can check this by going to: Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager -> IDE Controllers -> Rightclick Primary IDE Channel.
4. Defragment your HDD.
