You want input? Here you go:

Loins Gate (is this a new porno producer? At least spell the studio name right in your articles.) has picked up 2001 Maniacs. Great news indeed. (Why?)

It appears that it will go straight to DVD though. I was really hoping for a theatrical release. (Why?) Fango is reporting that the film will be making the rounds at the film festivals and cons starting with the Fantasia fest which is held in Montreal in July. (Okay this is some news, but when in July and maybe link to the festival's web site?)

2001 Maniacs was of course directed by Tim Sullivan (Take out the "of course".) and stars genre fave Robert Englund. (Is he still a "genre fave" considering it looks like he's done crap-all in the last ten years other than FvJ which wasn't that great.)

Sadly enough, there is a relatively large fanbase for Robert Englund. He was the headliner at a horror con last year. People spent twenty dollars to reserve a place on line for his autograph.

Once you do A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and V, you're never forgotten.

There was a fan all decked out as Freddy. Pretty impressive make-up job. He snagged Englund in the lobby and got a picture with him. Immediately afterward he collapsed in a chair with a look of exhilaration and awe on his face, as if he had just experienced the realization of all his dreams.

He'd probably just made number three in his pants.

He'd be a hit at conventions even if he'd only played Buck in EATEN ALIVE.

I've seen people throw down $20 for autographed photos of David Naughton and Karen Lynn Gorney.
