Showdown: Legends of Wrestling 3 - Anyone play it?

I'm PS2-less now. I have WCW/NWO Revenge & WWF Wrestlemania 2000 for my N64, and of course the sub-lime goodness of Fire Pro D and Giant Gram 2000 for my DC. Still, a decent next gen wrestler would be nice. Both Raws were ass. The first two LoWs were ass. Is this worth a shit? I think I want to rent it just to hear SKEE-A-VONY and the The Brain do truncated video game commentary.

Anyone play it yet?

Game = not interesting. The move sets are remarkably similar across wrestlers, the controls aren't good, this isn't really isn't worth it unless you REALLY like wrestling.

See, I want to play it because I read they improved the controls. I played the previous versions of the game, and while the concept was awesome, the controllers sucked. I felt like I should have been playing with Hulk Hogan everytime, because all I could do was like 3 moves (rim shot). I had read they simplified the controller motions to make it easier. I just got a 2-for-1 BBuster coupon for games and was going to apply it to this and try it out.

Rented last week. Glad I rented before blind buying. It's buggy and the Create A Wrestler, my favorite wrestling game feature, was crap. You have so little control of how to make your wrestler look like an existing wrestler. The matches are interesting and they play decently, but everything else took me out of it. To put it into perspective, there are enough things about LOW II that put it over LOW 3.

That's inexcusable for a sequel. 5.5 out of 10.

ok first of all i love wrestling games, even the cheesy ones.
but this game sucks, between the "jumpy" screens and the loser of set moves, i would have to say this sucks as bad or if not worse than WWE Raw2 for xbox
