Ichi the killer, animated version

Just picked up the dvd today. I'm not a big fan of animes but it's got Takashi Miike as the voice of Kakihara!

Anyone seen it? Is it any good or will I be disappointed?

I picked it up at hmv. They say it's a world exclusive but I guess it refers to the dvd with special features and stuff.

Miike screams as Kakihara for all of two minutes or so. As part of the bonus features, the recording studio footage where they show Miike recording the screams were pretty funny though. The Ichi Remix that plays during the end credits was hysterical.

The main feature itself was sorta interesting, more of a prequel to Ichi the Killer, from his days as a high school bullying victim to how he eventually hooked up with Jijii. You meet the characters that helped shape his fucked up psyche, including his S&M lovin' parents, a smooth talking Machiavellian classmate, and a female martial arts student who's way into pain.
