I dunno, it really hit me strongly at the end there. From the moment you described 'Gene's severed arms', that just kinda threw me across the room.

Congratulations on dishing up a delicious dessert to end my otherwise carnage-free lunch hour, Nick. I envy your ability to get writing done, with everything else you are tasked with. Your real-life juggling impresses me as much as the story itself.
