What Voltes said in the writers block thread gave me the Idea to start a little game meant to help those who have writers block. It is very simple and is sort of like free assosiation.

Just about all stories started out as What Ifs?
What if a man eating shark attacks a resort town? = Jaws
What if two people wanted to make the worst play in the world? = The Producers

How this will work is I will write down a what if and the next person will write down another what if that they thought of after reading mine. If you think of one that you like feel free to keep it to yourself. The whole point of this is just to get those who want to write into the story mindframe. (crosses fingers and hope this works)

What if Hitler had become a sucessful painter?

It kinda reminds me of the old What If comics from the 80's. "What if Conan the Barbarian lived in the 20th century", was one of my favorites...

I did a short short story (-500 words) on "What if the native americans had managed to repel the europeans?". It ended along the lines of the more things change, the more they stay the same.
