I figured we should start a thread about this for people who want help on how to write it. Does anybody have any clue or any advice on how to write an Indy Jones fan fic?

What would a person do if they wanted to write an Indy fic?

If I were starting out, I'd join a mailing list for Indy fic (there may well be one at Yahoo Groups) and read their stuff. I think the url is groups.yahoo.com.

Thing is, if you want to write something, you can then shout out on the list for a "beta" - someone to read and comment on your stuff before you put it on the web for people to point and laugh at.

Mailing lists also work for no other reason than to work out what you *don't* want to write, and what doesn't work.

It also is a great way to see the cliches that everyone is using, so you'll know what to avoid.

And sometimes, just sometimes, when the Moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars, the heavens will open and a piece of fanfic you're reading on the list will actually be quite good.
