View Full Version : Member Status. What does it mean? How does it change?

I noticed when I first came to these humble halls that everyone has a "member status", and that most are one of two standards (with the noticeable exceptions of only a few). Also I have noticed that they have recently changed. What determines your status, who decides it, how does it change, and why???

Curious minds want to know.

It's all down to number of posts and whether or not you moderate a forum. Based on the current ones:

Is More Machine Than Man - The numero uno, only Nick gets this one.

Got So Big Eating Food Of This Kind - Forum moderators.

Will See You In Hell - The Standard Chewer, Anywhere from 101 to 10001 posts.

Is Reckless - Anyone with less than 100 posts.

I think that's pretty much right.

I don't believe the cut off is 100 posts tho (look at moi)... maybe 200?

Hmm. I'm sure it used to be 100. Either that or my brain is fried. 200 then, I guess.

500 would make sense. A lot of the boards I'm on usually do a member status at about 500 or so... or in the case of the subaru board 555.
