Anyone else? Or am I the only heartless creep who can't be bothered?

I've only met one other chewer here "personally" and thats because he's my brother. Other than that I feel no personal connection to anyone, other than a mutual love of movies, music and sex.

I've met people. I just don't like reading the "I'm depressed" or "I am having a life change" threads.

I generally read them, but I rarely feel the need to comment, mostly because I feel out of place doing so.

I'm not going marginalize them all. I have nothing but admiration for the candor Blofeld exhibited recently in such threads about his life.

Consequently, tho, it puts other "problems" that a lot of us experience in perspective.

I registered about twenty minutes ago, so I haven't really met anyone yet. :p

I'm not marginalizing at all. I just realized that I almost never open those kinds of threads. The "mirror man" one tricked me, though.

Oddly, I love pictures of Chewers.

Slater, for you, a lot of love.

And I mean that while enjoying a hetero lifestyle. But it's the Michael Madsen forehead/eyebrow thing. It just gets me every time.

I read some, others I don't. Just depends on what exactly is being related.

I know how you feel, Coyote. I can't resist myself either.

I post them when I:
A) Do pretty cool stuff like bowl big numbers.
B) Win in court.

Otherwise I simply inject a bit of the ol' real life into a post or two...when appropriate.

As if it mattered a damn to anyone.

It matters a damn to me. You all matter to me.

Perhaps that makes me pathetic. Think what you will.

I was always taught "When someone needs help, help them." It doesn't matter whether I've met any of you or not. If someone's feeling down, I do the best I can to cheer them up. If somebody just needs to vent, I listen. If someone's going through a hard time, I just try to be there for them. This may just be a message board, but there are real people behind every screen name, and I will treat them as such.

Read some and comment in some. Usually only where my input may be useful or appreciated. Not reading them doesn't make you a bad person (any more than shopping in Wal Mart does :) )

Wait, did I just make myself look pathetic by telling you you're not? I'm still trying to get used to how things are scored on here.

To each their own. I like getting to know a Chewer better, even if it's not always something positive being discussed. I thought the point of the Chewer Forum was to do exactly that - provide a place where individuals can talk about themselves or another Chewer for whatever reason. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Hard to tell, the way the threads in this forum have been going lately...

All kidding aside, I don't really read a lot of the personal threads b/c I don't know anyone here and they don't know me, but I do love the chewer forum nonetheless.

I read em. But I also like to know about people and whats going on with their lives. I guess thats just part of being in a community, even if it is just an online one. That doesn't stop me from caring about people.

I usually read em, though I don't often post in them.

I'll only post in them if:

a) The thread is by someone I "know" - as well as you can really know anyone from message board postings.

and

b) I feel the need to actually contribute something. I try not to post if it'll just be a meaningless "All the best" in a long list of almost identical posts.

Usually, if a thread like that requires a response, I'll do it through a private message or e-mail.

I am generally a heartless creep who can't be bothered also.

Mainly it's the self-pitying ones that I try to avoid. Hey, we all feel that way at times, but posting it often seems like a lame cry for attention.

So yeah, those kind and Bandu's I avoid. And these shit ass newbies lately and their suck-fests. I think this forum needs to be nuked from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I haven't been here long enough to really know anybody, so I avoid those threads currently.

And yea the self-pitying ones are never good, but every board has them. I don't have any "objection on principle" to personal threads, tho. As somebody said this is the forum to meet and discuss and learn each other better. Every other forum is for discussion of some specific subject.
