As much as we may love and admire Nick for his great site, and Micah for his fearless protection of us from the evils of Outside Words Written on the Boards, can't we all admit thse bands suck? Nick has the vocal talents of a sodomized raccoon. Darker--an obvious and stereotypical play on ethnicity (why not just call yourself Black Guy who Raps)--has all the subtlty and tunefulness of a backfiring Pinto. It's hideous. What is it that makes us say what we don't mean? Truly, I must believe for the good of CHUD, that many here say they like this music out of fear of banning. Do you not feel dirty? You must. Pan in Your Pants, indeed.

I have yet to hear a Darker song where Micah raps. In fact, I managed to get actual airplay for his first album at the university here where I live. I love his stuff, and not in a "I MUST SUCK MICAH'S COCK SO AS NOT TO GET BOOTED OFF OF CHUD!"

PKG has evolved tremendously over the years and has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. The music is not mainstream. It's original and damn fun. I haven't listened to much Lucky Nightstick stuff yet though.

But what a weird thread to start. Especially when there are forums specifically for these bands. It's cool if you don't like the music. Could have done without the personal jabs, but hey, whatever.

I know a lot of you do not like our music, and more have never even given it a shot. I'm also aware that by making it so readily accessible we're asking for people to be cocks. We paint a big bullseye on our chests by laying it on the line. On the other hand, there's a whole mess of folks who haven't ponied up a goddamn creative thing in their own name in their whole lives. Who'd you rather be? Someone who DID IT and OWED UP TO IT or the nameless coward who stands from afar and picks on it without stepping to the table themselves?

As it stands for me, I've made the music available and for the most part we get ignored like a bum with AIDS, and I can deal with that. Some of the stuff's fun and rather good, but people are lazy and others are just plain stupid and cruel (For instance, EVERYONE who likes Scorched Planet's racist and hateful and UNFUNNY ways).

Trolls have no place here.
