View Full Version : So, schmuck, what do you want for Christmas?

Or whatever holiday you celebrate. Anyway, I looked around to see if a Christmas list thread has been made this year... and I haven't seen one. So, here ya go.

The topic is a simple one, unless you have a piece of brain missing. Put down what you'd like for Christmas/Hanukah/whatever. Make it reasonable... because Lord knows I want a Jennifer Love Hewitt, In-My-Pants Edition.

I tried to think of one big thing I wanted... but, I couldn't. I thought about an X-Box or a Gamecube... but I'm happy with my PS2 for right now. I did ask for a WRX... which I got quickly denied. Oh well, here's what I'm hopefully getting:

PS2 games:
Time Splitters 2
Contra: Shattered Soldier
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
James Bond 007: Nightfire
NBA 2K3

DVDs:
Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Special Pack
Seven Samurai Criterion Collection (I've been wanting this for a while, yet, I've never nabbed it)
Band of Brothers

Other junk:
6 poster frames (27 x 40): I got a lot of posters that I'd like to hang up all purdy-like.
Money... of course

So, no big fancy present... just a lot of other junk (that adds up to a lot, now that I think about it). And I'm bound to get a surprise or two. My mom can have an evil sense of humor when it comes to that. One year, my brother and I came downstairs to find nothing but lumps of coal. My mom and dad played on that all damn day until about 8 that night when they gave us our real presents. It was all my mom's idea... the evil lady.

Mostly DVDs etc. My folks are going half on a 5.1 DD/DTS setup, so that's what I'm really happy about. I could care less if I got anything else, cause that's what I've wanted for ages.

Here's what I'm getting:

DVD:
FOTR EE Gift Set
24
AOTC
Spider-Man

Games:
GTA: Vice City
Tiger Woods 2003

Some clothes, including a SWANK ski parka from Eddie Bauer. Sure, it's not as much fun knowing what you're getting in advance, but the collaborative sales-scouring effort SAVES buttloads of money.

Hopefuls:

Games:
Metroid Fusion
Shenmue II
Splinter Cell

DVD:
E.T.
Sopranos Season 3
Barelaked Nadies
assorted budget titles

The completion of our china and stemware registry

It's videogames Christmas this year!

I'd like:

Gamecube with Resident Evil, Rogue Leader and another game (either Starfox Adventures or Eternal Darkness)

Couple of PS2 games (probably Hitman 2 and another one haven't decided yet, maybe Kingdom Hearts, or Escape from the City, or The Getaway or...).

What I don't know is what to offer

I'm more scared of what I MIGHT get this year. Normally my family asks me what I want and I haven't heard anything this year. Maybe they're not planning for me to be around long enough to see this Christmas...

A Hummer. No, no, you know, the car thingy. Great gas economy , go anywhere, piss people off big time. I think a pewter colored H2, with all the goodies should do it. Although, there is this watch I saw in New York at Barneys. A Graham. Nice watch. Any other chrongraph freaks out there? I just can't help myself. The bigger, with the most geegaws on it the better. Actualy, I wouldn't mind getting a hummer and a car. Anybody want to exchange gifts?
