Disgaea: Hour of Darkness

Comes out this week. I'm gonna be getting it mainly because I dig Final Fantasy Tactics and Atlus always makes great games. The score is amazing, probably my favorite of the year so far.

But if you see a trailer on this...it just looks incredible. It's tile-based like FFT, but it looks so intricate. You can jump over large gaps and throw enemies/be thrown. It looks insane in action.

I sound like a shill, but this is gonna be a good game.

The musical score is a breath of fresh air in game music, and one of the most innovative scores to come along in quite some time. The 1930's vocal/instrumental jazz is a risky musical style to take on with the average gamer being 18-21 years of age, but seems natural and very well arranged. I still have to play the game get why this style of music was composed for the game, but it is a contender for best score of the year.
