So did anyone give this game a whirl?
Cut scenes look good enough, but how about the game itself?

I was all over this until I found out THERE WAS NO MULTIPLAYER!! I love real time strategy, but it only holds my attention when I'm killing my friends.
Curious to see if anyone picked this up.

Thats exactly why I didn't pick it up either. No multi-player. What the fuck is up with that?

Its supposedly identical to the PS2 version, but I think its a pretty cool game. It really could have used a skirmish mode and multiplayer, but if you can find it cheap enough, its definitely worth a look.

Picked it up for PS2. There are NO cutscenes, except one brief promo cut scene at the start. It's told through text and some awesome artwork.
It's a decent game. It's not horrible, and sometimes it is really awesome to see a team of marines mix it up with aliens and predators in hives and predator ships. It could have been better. The graphics suit the style of the game.
The text and art style of story telling, while decent, makes the whole thing feel a bit rushed. Next time, multiplayer modes and cut scenes should be used for story telling.
I think it's worth it if you like AVP. A bold experiment. I would prefer to see the series stick to FPS, but if not, I could live with this style. Next time it would be cool to actually build bases.
