Okay, I read an article in Electronic Gaming Monthly that announced that Square and Nintendo were getting back together for something. Next, I read about the future F-Zero game to be made by a joint cooperation between the big N and Sega. Then I hear this from IGN:

Insiders out of Japan allege that the Namco is currently working jointly with Nintendo on a brand new Star Fox title for GameCube. The new project, underway for a short period already, is said to be a straight 3D shooter "in the traditional style of the series." The title is in development on Nintendo's Triforce arcade hardware, according to sources. No other concrete details about the game are available at this time.

Oh, and Capcom in on something too:

Capcom Entertainment has also recently stated that it is working on a joint project with Nintendo, but would not specify for which system, GameCube or Game Boy Advance. Nintendo's just calling in its favors, isn’t it? Well, I'm happy. This is all encouraging me to get a GameCube more and more.

What? No comments?

Oh, that's right. I'm sorry... I forgot this forum was dead.

we all can't be living on these boards jumping to add our own 2 cents to whatever new topic comes along. There's much to be done out there in the real world...downloading tunes, watching them movies, playing games, or for the lucky few...hanging out with that someone special.

If Capcom is making a new project, here's hoping it's either some hi-res Street Fighting goodness or something along the lines of bringing Megaman back to Nintendo.

Or something new and original that would silence the detractors out there who pointed out that some of Nintendo's projects are all rehashes of existing franchises.

There's an article on Cinescape.com about Nintendo and Namco joining up:

The link is here.

The article is thus:

Nintendo and Namco announced today that the companies have entered a new agreement that will bring many franchises to the Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance, including a jointly-developed STAR FOX project.

Nintendo has agreed to publish the titles for Namco, as that company has fallen on some hard financial times of late. There are a total of six GameCube Namco games set for release before the end of 2003, and eight Game Boy Advance games in that time period.

Titles in development include:

Nintendo GameCube

MR. DRILLER (working title) - November 2002

SOUL CALIBUR 2 - January 2003

RIDGE SERIES Racing Game (title to be announced) - March 2003

STAR FOX (working title) - April 2003

TALES RPG (title to be announced) - July 2003

Original RPG (title to be announced) - December 2003

Game Boy Advance

FAMILY TENNIS ADVANCE - June 2002

FAMISTA ADVANCE - June 2002

MR. DRILLER ACE - August 2002

KLONOA OF THE WIND G2 - August 2002

KLONOA OF THE WIND (title to be announced) - November 2002

All the launch dates are for Japan, no US details have been revealed.

Cheese man! I'm constantly looking for good video game stuff to talk about! Glad to see you're as into 'em as I am so keep in mind that maybe posting in this forum just may be worth it! I read most of these topics, but I only say things on the ones I have something to say on so you might not get a comment, but you probably will!

One barrier! You have a Gamecube, I have an XBOX! Blargh! Can we bridge the gap? Ha ha ha ha ha.

Wrong-o. I have a PS2, N64, Sega CD (ughhh), Sega Genesis, SNES, NES, Virtual Boy (ughhh... HULK SMASH!), Game Boy (the OLD one), Game Gear, and my PC, but I have not a GameCube.

However, I am still deciding whether or not to get a GameCube or an X-Box. I'm happy with my PS2 (and, hell, I still play my SNES all the time), so I have no real drive to get another system. But, GameCube looks more and more tasty with every passing day.

BROTHER! <runs to give Cheese a hug, but stops short, realizing the bizarre implications of said hug>

I play this shit outta my SNES too! Anyway, what I suggest you do if you're deciding on a Gamecube VS. an XBOX is REALLY research the games (upcoming included) and see how many you want for each one.

I did that and came up with around 40 for the BOX and 20 for the PS2. Not to knock the PS2, it's just a preference thing ya know? I like all three systems, I LOVE XBOX! :)

Want to see something odd? Look in the top right hand corner:

It just seems a little weird.

It's funny, with the release of Resident Evil the balance of video game power in my house has now shifted to my Cube. But that will probably change soon with Hunter and Morrowind coming for the Xbox.

And I have to admit that I am having a lot of fun with the Gameboy Advance I just picked up. I was skeptical as to it's worth, but I have been laid up in bed all week after surgery and it is pulling me through.
