Saw demo of it in store.
Have no new consoles or computer nor money to buy them with.
Voice acting provided by Maguire, Dafoe, and Bruce Campbell as the narrarator.
Ran home crying and masturbating.
The end. (no energy left for all caps)

Anyway, I checked around on the videogame sites, and noone seems to have a review for the game yet. I just found that kind of odd, usually they have reviews out the day of or even the day before the game is released.

I've heard the game is extremely short, like three hours short.

I heard DJEvil's masturbation is that long however.

Yeah, but that's only half as long as my sessions with Fuck-Me Farrah (copyright 2002).

Am enjoying it, but I don't like the fact that you can swing from clouds (ie: who on Earth knows what your webbing is attached to when you are OVER the buildings swinging around).

That's exactly how it was in the original two Spider-Man games, the ones on PS1. I didn't play the second, but the first was so damn fun. I didn't care about the webbing and where it went.

And Mario jumps on blocks that are floating in midair with no support of any kind, defying the law of gravity. Conker, Link, and other game characters pull objects out of no where. Donkey Kong is an ape who wears a neck tie. Players can’t sack refs in Techmo Bowl. Does anyone care? No.

Now c'mon Cheezy, Nick has a point. I think it would just feel kinda funny shooting webs up into the clouds. Why not just keep the action a little lower?
I'll play the game, regardless. :p

Game's fun, but it has a few flaws:
The voice ad-libs become repetitive and annoying way too quickly. i felt like I was playing Gex: Enter The Gecko at times.
The stealth component mostly sucks. Early on in the game, you crawl through air vent shafts and then toward the ceiling. YET, the very second you poke your body through an air shaft 30 feet in the air, the bad guys immediately spot you and let loose with dumb quips. What's the point in being stealthy if it gets you nowhere?
Aside from that, the game is primo. great graphics, perfect cutscenes and voice talent. Good gameplay with a variety of moves and such to stave away monotony. It's a good license game all-around.

Is it worth buying? I don't have $50 to throw away but I maybe EB has a deal running where I can turn in 2 games a get Spider-man

A). 10-12 hours of gameplay the first time through, 10 additional for bonus stuff
B). Bruce Campbell's narration is "brilliant" says IGN.
C). Voice acting is actually taken from the movie!
If I had the cash, I would probably buy it because IGN says it's much better than the original on PS, and I LOVED that game.
I'm gonna try to go rent it in a little bit, but I doubt it'll be there.

Fun game, having trouble seeing shit in the second level though, because my TV is having glare problems.

I just rented it. The outdoor levels are awesome, but the indoor levels are flat-out crap. And they need to work on the camera, post haste. The stealth is, indeed, worthless, by the way. Oh well, they’ll have time to fix those mistakes by the next game (I’m 100% positive there will be more where this came from). I am kind of worried that the game might follow the movie too closely and ruin something (even though I know most of the Spider-Man story already, it could still hurt the movie’s overall effect), so I might just play it through a few levels and nothing more.

Cheese, have you got to the sewer with Shock yet?
That level is fuckin hard and I am playing on Easy.
I just beat it and it took a long fucking time.

I'm playing on normal, and while I haven't really played much of it yet, let me just say the control is HORRIBLE. Is there something i'm doing wrong? Is the analog the way to go, or just the regular D-Pad? Classic style, or Enhanced? I didn't really have this problem with the other games, but the control is just so sticky and unresponsive in some cases.
Other than that, nothing beats that lens flare when slingin' around the city.
And, you guys knew it already, but BRUCE CAMPBELL RULES THE WORLD. Absolutely the most hilarious narration i've ever heard. Ever. He was eating a sandwich during the tutorial!!! "Awww...too much mustard.."

I like the controls, using classic.
But that's the gamecube one, so there could be a little bit of a difference.

I'm fucking pissed at the fact that there is no save anywhere or at least checkpoints.
The game is too difficult to NOT have one, going through a damn level, getting near the end, dying, and having to start over?
That REALLY sucks. Am I missing something?

I just beat it and it took a long fucking time.Yeah, I beat it too. It was hard as nuts. Right now I just finished watching the cineam of the Green Goblin attacking that party (pretty much right out of the movie)... oh yes, I creamed my jeans.

That this game has no save anywhere/checkpoint feature makes it lose serious points with me.

Damn Scorpion is pissing me off.
Hell, this game seems to be pissing me off.
I mean, it's great and all, but the camera and controls are way too frustrating. And I can't shake the anger I have about the lack of checkpoints.
Hopefully it will turn out to have been a pleasant experience in the end.

I'm slow, but I can't seem to find a way to get up The Vutures hideout, I got past the log part and now there is no where to go all the stairs are blocked by wall thingies.
Cheese Biscuits

There are holes that lead into the center structure. You have to go in and out of that thing as you go up because the stairs get blocked by rubble at certain points.

I see, I've been trying to do that but my fucking TV has glare from the sunlight.
I'll have to try again tonight, when I can see.

I traded in Devil May Cry and State of Emergency and I got $45 store credit, so I payed $5 for Spider-man. I just started the game but I can say that Bruce Cambell is hilarious in it. "Do you follow me? We'll you better stop, or I'll call the cops"

Okay guys, you think you're struggling now? Wait till you get to the "disarm all of Green Goblin’s bombs around the city under the time limit while you scream bloody murder and smash all the windows in your house out of sheer frustration" level. Then you have to deal with the "sneak around Oscorp while avoiding guards, but you’re not avoiding guards because the stealth in this game fucking sucks while the game forces you to receive the video game equivalent of a 15 inch black rubber cock shoved up your ass" level.

Damn it, I couldn't beat GG. I got him down to like an inch of life but he's just too damn powerful. I know i'll get it though....
And rescuing Mary Jane on the big giant panda kicked ass!!

I finally got some time to play this game. I have to say that I damn near gave up on it while in the warehouse stage. The camera movements were driving me crazy. Once you get outside the aerial combat is a lot of fun and The FMVs are amazing.

Okay, I've just beaten it on normal... and my final thoughts are thus:
Pretty fun game.
The outside levels are great fun. Swinging around New York City, chasing after the Green Goblin is just flat-out great. My only problem was whenever you were chasing something (Goblin, Vulture, or a time limit of some kind), and you get real close to a building, you stick to it, and you fuck up your time. Also, it’s impossible to get the items that are hanging in midair. If I’m low on life, and the nearest life piece is floating in midair, I’ll ignore it because you have to hit those things DEAD ON, which is so hard to do. If the item is on or near a building, then I can run to it or jump to it, but midair… oh no. Also, I have a few complaints about the outside camera, but they’re just nit-picks, so I’ll skip them.
The inside levels… well, let me put it this way. I’d rather have my blood replaced with battery acid than play those levels again. Some of them are all right, but that damn camera is just piss poor. It was not made for closed areas. The combat is also kind of crap. Fighting the Green Goblin fist to fist is real hard because he’s nearly impossible to get near to because he’s constantly grabbing you or punching you like a little girl. And the stealth side of the game is not Metal Gear Solid quality.
So, in conclusion:
Pros:
-Outside levels kick the ass in a big way (except for the "defuse all the bombs" stage that was really hard).
-Web swinging is fun as hell.
-Crawling on walls and web-zipping is fun.
-Some of the combat is fun (like tossing bad guys around with your webbing).
-Graphics are amazing.
-I like all the voice acting and the music.
-All the bonus stuff is fun.
-Bruce is in it, and he's funny as hell (he doesn't really narrate the game, instead he narrates the training, but it's still good).
Cons:
-The Camera.
-I know it’s based on the movie, but I wished there had been as many villains as there have been in the other games.
-The Camera.
-The stealth gets better as the game goes on (not as bad as it’s made out to be), but it’s still pretty bad.
-The Camera.
-Some crappy "been there, done that" level design indoors.
-It can get really, really hard.
-As Mikah said, the quips are very Gex.
-Enemy AI is about as smart as ball of mud.
-And, oh yeah, the FUCKING CAMERA!
Overall: Cool game with many flaws. Worth a rental, not worth a purchase. There will be more Spider-Man games, and I bet many of these problems will be fixed if not at least tweaked.

The main problem I have with the game so far is (as C. Bizkit's stated above)the damn camera. And I don't like the fact that you can't web sling down to the streets. I think it would be so cool to have the much freedom, but that would've been a big task for the designers. So far though, it's a fun game. Turned it off just as I arrived at the Vulture's hideout inside the clock tower.

I've found that the camera is much more tolerable on Passive mode.
But jesus, I hate to say that this game is REALLY pissing me off, but it is. I haven't really played it for any long periods of time, but i'm on the stealth level and while it seems beatable, it's sorta frustrating right now.
I want to come away from this game after I beat it and say I enjoyed it more than I hated it, but if the game were to end right now I wouldn't be able to.

Anyone playing this as the Green Goblin yet? once you can unlock that (in the same ways you can unlock the Alex Ross spidey suit etc) you play as Osborn looking into his Pop's death. A nice little addition but it was a hell of a lot easier for me playing as Spidey. Although learing the glider moves and all the others were some nice icing.

If you enter "underthemask" as a cheat code you supposedly play the game in first person mode. It would be cool to swing around the city with this view. I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet though.

I got tired of it pretty damn quick. Only took two nights to beat it as Spidey and then about another 7 days on and off to beat it as the Green Goblin (which was a nice little addition). Then going back through for more special pickups etc etc which took its toll on my love for the game.
But, I sold it yesterday and picked up Maximo and Fatal Frame used, so I figured that was a darn good deal.

I got Spider-Man two weeks ago on XBOX for my birthday and I love it to death! The stealth is working out great for me, I have no idea what your problem is with it. I love everything about this game, except the camera. Even the difficult levels you mentioned were enjoyable, even when I had to retry several times. I know it may seem like I'm over-praising it, but keep in mind...it's just an opinion. I love it.

I love Spider-Man The Movie Game! My B-Day was coming up close so my Mom bought it for me today after we saw Spidey together. I was used to the Spidet games on the PSX so it was pretty easy to control for me on my PS2. A very nice game although the plot could use some handling and I do get some slowdown times. It's pretty difficult at times too but never frustrating. Somebody please tell Treyarch though to get better CG artists; Norman Osbourne looks a little too freaky.
But you gotta love the Bruce Campbell tutorials. :)
