It's too hard for me to just pick one, but I have some good memories of playing Super Mario 64 instead of doing my homework. I also love GoldenEye and Perfect Dark(the only 2 N64 games I pick up and play every now and then).. Star Wars SotE kicks ass also..
Before you all share your opinions, I would like to give a moment of silence for the Nintendo 64....................(sneaks away to get back to GTA3)

WWF Wrestlemania 2000, followed closely by WWF No Mercy.

Gotta go with the Episode 1 Racer for personal and historical reasons...

Pilotwings. Birdman was awesome!

Also, Perfect Dark. I had so much fan playing that game.

Zelda or Mario 64.

Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Plenty of depth, great level design, classic gameplay. The only reason to own the N64.

Perfect Dark comes a close second; for arriving before Deus Ex...and being just as entertaining.

Mario is the first (and possibly only) game ever in which jumping around in circles was fun.

Majora's Mask was, in my opinion, better than Ocarina of time.

It's a draw between Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Perfect Dark is technically bigger and better, but Goldeneye is an undeniable classic.

Personal Faves
Zelda: OfT, Mario64, SuperMarioKart 64, GoldenEye, and StarFox.

Party Faves
Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
(and MarioKart, GoldenEye, Starfox)

- I was always dissappointed with the RPG selection for the N64. Basically drove me to buying a PSOne. Anybody have any RPG recommendations for the 64? Any good places online to get 64 games at a reasonable price?

Cheers!
Joram

I heard good things about Paper Mario being a decent rpg for the N64.

The Gamespot Review should give you more info on it. Am I the only one who enjoys Donkey Kong 64?
Its my favourite game for Atari
its my favourite game for Nintendo
Donkey Kong Country 1,2 and 3 were all pretty good for SNES

Donkey Kong 64 Rocks! It was my main reason for purchaing N64. I bought N64 for the jungle green addition that came with DK64.

Yeah it's been over a year, but I did a search and this popped up. Just interested to see who played it. I liked it better than Mario 64. I might be selling my 64 soon, but I was having doubts due to Donkey Kong 64 and Goldeneye.

There is clearly not enough love for StarFox 64 in this thread. Must finish game room...must unleash the Arwing again...

Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie have been my favorites. Goldeneye was fun, but Perfect Dark refined the concept so well that it gets the spot.

Blast Corps., Banjo-Tooie, SW: SOTE, and Quest 64 take a few of the runner up spots.

Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Super Smash Bros., Conker's Bad Fur Day, and WWF No Mercy all tie at the top spot.

I would pick Goldeneye, Army Men: Sarges Heroes (shut up), and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.

Gotta be Mario 64 with Zelda Ocarina of Time coming in a very very close second. Mario 64 officially introduced me to the 3d gaming world. I've never had a gaming experience as remarkable as that since!

The heavy hitters have already been mentioned, so I'll throw in a few slightly-to-criminally underappreciated gems:

Beetle Adventure Racing
Rocket: Robot on Wheels
Jet Force Gemini

And the Great Mighty Poo battle from Conker deserves it's own special mention.

You know, this was a pretty great system. Though the visuals are not aging well at *all*. I would have added Space Station Silicon Valley to the list but I honestly cannot get past the visuals now, and I'm no graphics whore.

wow! I didnt know this many people actually OWNED the Nintendo 64.

seriously though.. G4 seems determined to drill it into everyone's heads that Mario 64 was the best game for that system.
