It's taken a long time for this to get ported over to pc. Worth the wait. Compared to Tony Hawk 2 which was a direct port of the PS2 version (featuring decent but not great texture and geometry), Gearbox has outdone itself with the graphics making great use of pc hardware.
Everybody else with their consoles already knows this is an addicting game. What sets this port apart is the new expanded park editor and some new multiplay modes. Those new modes are team based variations of Capture the Flag, Control the Zone (ie, Unreal Tournaments Domination), and Keep Away.
I only have 1 or 2 gripes with the game. First, the soundtrack cannot be added upon. Seeing as some prior pc games let you incorporate existing mp3 files (such as the Stereo feature in The Sims or importing ditties into NHL 2001/2002). It's kind of a let down that you can't add your own songs to the playlist. The other gripe really isn't a blemish on the game itself, but of my hardware...that I need to get a more precise gamepad to execute some of the combo's. The gravis gamepad pro looks like it's seeing its last days now and will probably be replaced by a Logitech Wingman Rumblepad.
I wonder what kind of courses any of the people will come up with as new levels are shared over the net. Has anyone here acquired the game for their pc?
