The multiplayer in this game is a disgrace to star wars fans everywhere. Never ever (as Penny Arcade put it) Do I want to see a Stormtrooper with a lightsabre named Wookiekilla fighting with Lando Calrissean while A Gammorean guard is doing a force jump. Simply awful.

How much time have you put in? Other than the character names how is the game?
There are one or two people that dig it in this thread.

The single player is AWESOME.
It's just that the multiplayer boils down to a really stupid and ridiculous quake deatmatch.

Yeah, the multiplayer does suck ass. The single player is great though.

I'll be getting the game later today. I just hope I can run it.
My system reqs:
PII 300 Mhz
128mb RAM
Voodoo 2
Yeah, I know. It's ancient. But I ran AND beat Max Payne on here and if i'm correct, it had higher minimum reqs than JK2.
God I need a new video card. A new system for that matter.

Wow, I'm impressed to were able to run Max Payne. You should be able to run Jedi Knight fine. Except sometimes yo umight get some slow down when there are alot of enemies on the screen.

Multiplayer, by definition, is only as good as the people you play it with. If you are on a Deathmatch JKII server, you will be playing DEATHMATCH. If you are on a duel server with a 1 vs 1 limit, then you wait to play the winner of the current DUEL. If you join a CTF server with force powers enabled, you will be playing CTF WITH FORCE POWERS. If you are playing on a server with a bunch of ridiculous and stupid morons, the game will not be able to compensate for their moronic ridiculousness and stupidity.
It's not that hard to grasp.
While we're at it, how was JKI any different?
Here, I'll tell you: it had LESS multiplayer options and worse graphics.

Well shit, Jedi Knight 2 installed fine and everything but since the Voodoo chipset isn't supported, I had to order a $60 Hercules 3D Prophet 32mb PCI card from Amazon.com. Which is pretty good for that price, and is supported by JK2.
At least I can play the JK1 while I wait.
And who got the collector's edition and the ABSOLUTELY KICKASS KEYCHAIN!!!

The keychain gave me a seizure.
And it rules!

Is Jedi Knight 1 freezing on anyone's computer? It keeps freezing for me, damn it. It might be because it's like 5 years old. But damn it, first I can't play JK2, now I can't even hold myself over with JK1?!?
God I hate this computer.
Nevermind, I reinstalled and it works now.

Ya know, those are just skins. They aren't real. In a multiplayer game with Jedi force powers, is anyone really gonna choose to be a stormtrooper if they really have to ACT like stormtroopers?
Now I admit, I'd love some team action of the sort they described over on Penny Arcade, but wishful thinking is just that: wishful thinking. As it stands, I LOVE this game.
